As an nb person, I’m pretty tired of the usual standard of nonbinary “”“"aesthetic”“”“ being skinny, white, androgynous. But I’m also really sick of people acting like we’re a cross between male and female, and all of their stereotypes of us being like a masculine haircut, with glitter eyeshadow and lipstick, but a more masculine outfit and heels. We’re not people that can be broken down into fractions of masculinity and feminity.
Also this is 1000% ok to rb, esp for non nb people
we should make fun of americans more. why dont their shops include tax in the price tag. like how much does this item cost? its a surprise :)
Honestly, tea. I’ve lived here my whole life and I have never once known what my total is gonna be at the register. Total fucking mystery.
im an ex-american living in new zealand for the past two years and it still never fails to blow my mind that i can take a $2 coin, walk up to a counter with two $1 items, and perform the expected transaction
Some quick mouse form/anatomy practice- gave ‘em BEES.
Definitely more to come. 8)
Ballpoint pen and brush pen
Very cute (and accurate) art, though for mousy falconry I’d suggest -
rather than bumblebees
- one of the hunting wasps that look like living ornithopters.
If you’re one of those people who thinks executive dysfunction only happens for things we don’t like (school, cleaning,) then please consider the fact that I’ve been meaning to plug my phone in for 20 minutes and I’m now at 2% and still putting it off to write this post ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My anime/video game list consists of over 100 titles, easily, and yet I almost never get around to watching/playing any of them.
Executive dysfunction is not just for boring or unenjoyable things. It’s for everything. Even eating.
What is executive dysfunction? O.o
Put simply, it’s difficulty/inability with initiating tasks. The prefrontal cortex is responsible for executive functions, like decision-making and impulse control. People with ADHD and other neurological disorders that affect the prefrontal cortex often experience difficulty making decisions and performing tasks, as well as exercising self restraint. Part of why people with ADHD tend to procrastinate so badly is out of genuine inability to begin tasks, even if they’re very important.
It feels, for me at least, like I’m constantly waiting for something and I can’t start X task because I’m waiting. I never know what exactly I’m waiting for, but that doesn’t stop me from wasting hours and days not doing the things I need to do, even if I have a desire to do them.

Oh thank god, someoneput it into words.
For me it’s also waiting for the “right” time to come to complete the task because for some reason my brain thinks doing the task at any other time is horribly, horribly wrong, weird, and out of order. The “right” time might come eventually, might not. It’s a lottery.
A clipart recreation of the The More You Know star, reading “You’re a TERF.”
And as a free bonus, you also get:
A gold star sticker reading, “You’re racist!”
Because, not for the first and not for the last time, eliminating genders other than male and female is a tool of colonialism, and by extension, of white supremacy.
i’m not against nonbinary people in any way but.. those who are aren’t racist lmao bitch ur reasoning is so flawed i’m in awe
I’ll play nice and walk you through this gently.
The gender binary we live in, globally, was built from the ground up to replace gender roles in any place colonized by the west.
This included destroying gender identities other than male and female, by forcing those individuals into either a male or a female role, denying their gender.
By destabilizing very basic cultural concepts of family and self, invaded nations were more easily fractured, and more readily forced to submit.
Hatred of nonbinary people is rooted in white colonialism, and empowers it as a result.
And given that nonbinary people of color are, as in all things online, the leaders and movers of the increased pride and visibility of nonbinary people, it’s also racist in a more traditional sense, whereby people of color do all the work, white people get made into the face of the movement, and the people of color who did all the reading and the educating and the group care, all of that is erased.
Whether historically or in the modern moment, objection to nonbinary identities has racist roots, racist effects. People who do it, whether they mean to or not, are being racist.
